Many People at age 40 experiences several health problems, some like to say that 40 is the new 30 for women of today, and that age is just a number. In many ways this is true, a woman is as old as she allows herself to feel. But, even after all the affirmations, it is obvious for women or men to feel young, health, and actually BE healthy, they must get a handle on their overall wellness. One of the common health problem of women is osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is when your joints begin to to deteriorate. This is the most common form of Arthritis in the country. Half of all people over age 65 have some sort of osteoarthritis and it affects over 20 million adults. Some global fact about this disease include that it is less of a problem in East Indians, South African's and Southern Chinese, but highly common in the Japanese populations.
When men approach the big 4-0, they tend to experience andropause. Andropause is the time in a man's life when the hormones naturally start decline usually during their late forties or early fifties. This decline continues into the eighties. Controversy surrounds the disease as many believe the belief of male menopause is more fiction than truth. The Andropause is a gradual process and not exactly the same as menopause. However, like women undergoing menopause, the decrease in hormones in men result in them suffering from symptoms of the Andropause. However, like menopause, symptoms of andropause can vary from person to person. Turning 40 is one of the key psychological milestones in a person’s life when they evaluate who they are and where they want to be going.
